Gerald King – ‘The importance of high performance wheels for e-mobility and other demanding applications’
LANXESS at the K fair 2019
With more than 232.000 visitors in 2016, the K fair in Duesseldorf is one of the world´s most important trade fairs for plastics and rubber.
Under the motto “Quality Works – Energizing the Future”, LANXESS presented high-quality solutions for the plastics and rubber industry from six business units: High Performance Materials, Urethane Systems, Polymer Additives, Rhein Chemie, Inorganic Pigments and Advanced Industrial Intermediates – showcased their products at K 2019.
On our 700 square meter stand, we focused primarily on the topics of new mobility, urbanization and digitalization.
“Innovative mobility solutions and modern urban concepts are currently being developed worldwide. These are important growth areas for us and our customers. We are constantly developing sustainable material solutions and technologies for this purpose and are also focusing on new possibilities for digitalization.” Hubert Fink, member of the LANXESS board of management.
In the sections below, you will find all information on our presence at this year´s K fair.
Innovation, lightweight, new mobility and cost efficiency are keys to a sustainable future. New technologies can enable further functional integration into parts whereas new designs can further improve production efficiency. LANXESS stands for high-end materials and in-depth engineering know-how.
High-performance plastics from LANXESS are used in manufacturing plugs, switches and cable coating for charging stations and housings for wall-mounted charging stations.
Engineering plastics can be found in different focus systems for e-mobility such as inverters, e-engines, charging systems, DC/DC converter & ECU and auxiliary equipment.
New materials from our business unit High Performance Materials include orange, heat-stabilized compounds for high-voltage applications; materials that prevent electrical corrosion upon contact with live metal parts; and halogen-free, flame-retardant materials for components such as battery cell holders and cover plates. Polyamide and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) compounds will be colored in the highly vivid RAL 2003 (LANXESS color code 200849) tone.
